The center charm features a coin design from the Fourth Century B.C.E. with the following inscribed on back, 'Popolonia-IV Century-Didramma'. Six carats worth of round diamonds (J-K color and VS2-SI2 clarity) surround the coin motif. Crafted entirely in 18-karat yellow gold, the necklace has a heavy link chain which closes with a pressure clasp. The gold necklace weighs approximately 169 grams.
